Job Description

Our client is one of the area’s leading estate agencies in Surrey and currently has an opportunity for a Lettings Negotiator to join the team. This company is a successful independent estate agency with a small network of offices locally. This role will be based in their dynamic and friendly office in the primary located office in Woking, Surrey.

The company is looking to recruit a hardworking, dedicated and passionate individual who is looking to start a career with an employer who will support their development. You will need to be ambitious, and have good communication skills.

The role will involve a great deal of customer facing, so you will need to have excellent people skills as you will be meeting and greeting applicants and registering prospective purchasers who you will be required to discuss potential properties with, and then accompany on viewing. You will also be actively involved in the negotiation process up to the sale.

You will need to have a professional and personable approach and be able to demonstrate your sales skills in order to sell property. There will be some administration work so good communication and IT skills are essential.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have worked in a customer facing or sales environment before, and have the ability to deliver high levels of customer service. Previous Estate Agency experience and knowledge of the local area / property market would obviously be beneficial, but is by no means essential.

In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Well presented
  • Highly motivated
  • Previous sales experience and a sales focused mentality
  • Ability to show resilience and to make the most of any opportunity
  • Full Driving licence.

You will have the ability to earn uncapped commission, so if you are able to thrive in a fast paced, sales orientated, targeted environment then this could be the role for you. The initial basic salary will be in the region of £16,000 depending upon the level of experience and ability to earn £25,000 to £30,000 dependent on your performance. The company will also provide a car allowance.

The hours of work will be from 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday and you will also be required to work every Saturday with a day off in lieu during the week.
