Job Description

Based in the heart of Mayfair, this leading organisation provides a range of professional real estate related services including sales, lettings, property management, development, planning, design and consultancy. They operate across prime central London, with particular focus on Mayfair, Marylebone, Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Kensington, Chelsea and Fitzrovia, but they also have associations with a French based estate agency business.

The organisation is currently looking to recruit a Residential Property Manager for their busy Mayfair office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years previous experience in property management, be ARLA qualified and capable of managing both individual properties and portfolios of high end property in Central London, as well as some commercial properties which form part of their own portfolio.

Duties to include:

Residential:

  • Liaising with contractors, landlords and tenants to arrange proactive and reactive maintenance works
  • Co-ordinating void period works
  • Organising planned refurbishment works and redecoration projects
  • Carrying out property visits and preparing reports for landlords
  • Processing contractor invoices and utility bills
  • Updating and maintaining the property records and databases
  • Negotiating end of tenancy dilapidations & deposit returns
  • Processing incoming rent and preparing payments to landlords

Commercial:

  • Liaising with contractors and tenants to arrange proactive and reactive maintenance works
  • Assisting with the preparation of service charge budgets
  • Organising planned refurbishment works and redecoration projects
  • Processing contractor invoices and utility bills, including electrical re-charges to tenants
  • Updating and maintaining the property records and databases
  • Ensuring vacating tenants complete any necessary works, prepare deposit returns
  • Preparing rent, service charge and insurance rent demands
  • Processing incoming rents and preparing payments

Skills required and how / where they are applied:

  • Excellent IT Skills including MS Office – most work is computer based
  • Aptitude to learn property management database
  • Self-motivated – co-dependant team relies on work being completed in a timely fashion
  • Highly organised & able to manage time effectively
  • Common sense and logic – needed for dealing with maintenance and people
  • Good people skills – negotiating with contractors, tenants, providing a high end service to clients
  • Patient and well-spoken

This excellent career opportunity will pay an above average salary of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on the level of ability and experience of the successful candidate, and this is a Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm role.
