Portfolio Management

Portfolio Management is the unified management of a group of properties that are held in one ownership. Essentially, if you work in asset or portfolio management, your main goal is to reduce costs and increase the income to achieve the maximum benefit for the property owners. Any decisions that are made will impact the entire portfolio rather than an individual property.

To be considered for a Portfolio Management position, the first step would be a position in Property Management where you can gain some of the necessary skills and knowledge. It would be beneficial to have a good understanding of financial modelling as well. You will need to be articulate and confident as you will be in regular contact with clients, building managers and estate agents.
