This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join the sales team of one of Staines’s leading estate agency firms. This privately-owned company has a high profile office in the town centre and is currently looking for an eager and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join their expanding organisation.

The role will involve a great deal of customer facing, so you will need to have excellent people skills as you will be meeting and greeting applicants and registering prospective purchasers who you will be required to discuss potential properties with, and then accompany on viewing. You will also be actively involved in the negotiation process up to the sale.

You will need to have a professional and personable approach and be able to demonstrate your sales skills in order to sell property. There will be some administration work so good communication and IT skills are essential.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have worked in a customer facing or sales environment before, and have the ability to deliver high levels of customer service. Previous Estate Agency/Lettings experience and knowledge of the local area / property market would obviously be beneficial, but is by no means essential.

The role will include the following duties:

  • Registering potential purchasers on the phone and in person
  • Qualifying their buying position and their requirements
  • Arranging and accompanying viewings
  • Gaining feedback from these viewings
  • Negotiating offers
  • Communicating with, and feeding back to vendors
  • Sales progression
  • General office administration
  • Telephone sales

In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent face to face customer service skills
  • The motivation to succeed
  • Previous sales experience and a sales focused mentality
  • Ability to show resilience and to make the most of any opportunity
  • Full Driving licence and Car essential

This position will come with a basic salary that will very much depend on your level of experience but will be in the range of £15,000 to £18,000. On top of this there will be an excellent performance-related commission structure enabling you to earn between £30,000 and £40,000. Structured training will also be provided from day one. This vacancy is based in their highly successful Newbury town centre office.
