Due to expansion, a vacancy has become available with this well-established, privately owned estate agency based in Putney, London SW15. The company is undoubtedly one of the market leaders in the town, so this is a good career opportunity for an ambitious individual looking work with some of the best in the industry. The company is looking to recruit a Negotiator to handle both property sales and rentals.

The role will involve a great deal of customer facing, so you will need to have excellent people skills as you will be meeting and greeting applicants and registering prospective purchasers and tenants who you will be required to discuss potential properties with, and then accompany on viewing. You will also be actively involved in the negotiation process up to the sale or let.

You will need to have a professional and personable approach and be able to demonstrate your sales skills in order to sell or let property. There will be some administration work so good communication and IT skills are essential.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have worked in a customer facing or sales environment before, and have the ability to deliver high levels of customer service. Previous Estate Agency/Lettings experience and knowledge of the local area / property market would obviously be beneficial, but is by no means essential.

In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent face to face customer service skills
  • The motivation to succeed
  • Previous sales experience and a sales focused mentality
  • Ability to show resilience and to make the most of any opportunity
  • Full Driving licence essential

The successful candidate will be given a guaranteed salary for the first three months in the region of £18-20,000. Thereafter, you will be on a basic salary of £12-14,000 and personal commission based on sales, giving you the earning potential of £18-25,000 in your first year. You will also be provided with a company car. You will be expected to work every other Saturday.
