We have a unique opportunity available for a Property Portfolio Manager to join a Private Landlord who deals with a mixed-use rental property portfolio covering London and the South Coast.

Our client is currently looking to recruit an individual with several years’ experience in Property/Portfolio Management and preferably have knowledge of HMO licensing and regulations.

You will be handling several responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, including covering secretarial/administrative functions, supervising and coordinating building maintenance and work orders, visiting the properties you oversee to ensure that they are being properly maintained and all issues are actioned/resolved in a timely manner.

The role will include the following:
  • Carrying out property visits on a periodic basis
  • Arranging maintenance and inspecting works completed, ensuring all workmanship meet company standards
  • Negotiating with contractors’ likely costs and agreeing time scales to ensure works instructed are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a positive, productive relationship with tenants
  • Managing all aspects of assigned properties, including check-ins and check-outs, deposit returns, ensuring units are ‘market ready’, on-boarding tenants etc.
  • Taking prospective clients on tour, having obtained potential requirements and affordability
  • Keeping the company systems updated with utility providers, inventories, photographs etc.
  • Working on your own initiative.
Personal specification:
  • Experience within a senior property management/portfolio management role
  • Experience in managing staff and small teams
  • Sound knowledge of relevant guidelines, regulations, procedures, and legislation
  • Experience and demonstrated ability in dispute resolution and creative problem-solving skills
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the serving of Section 21 and S8 notices together with court and bailiff procedures
  • Skilled use of IT (Microsoft Office and property management software)
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • First class customer service skills
  • Personable
  • Articulate
  • Full UK driving licence.

The salary for this role will be in the region of £25,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
