This market-leading estate agency specialises in Lettings & Management and has a strong network of offices throughout Oxford city and the surrounding area. The company is independent, family-run, and has an excellent local reputation.

They are currently looking to recruit a Letting & Property Manager who will be responsible for the letting and management of a portfolio of student properties to ensure a high level of tenant and landlord satisfaction and to meet agreed sales targets and objectives.

Based in their high profile Summertown office, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Being familiar with the company’s Property Management manual, and using it as a reference at all times
  • Screening and matching applicants, arranging and conducting viewings, negotiating terms and closing the let
  • Managing relationships with landlords and tenants, ensuring first class service delivered at all times
  • Preparing properties for letting, organising inventories, ensuring pre-tenancy photographs are taken and documented
  • Conducting check-ins, ensuring relevant forms are signed
  • Checking the tenancy documentation, and completing sign and pay appointments
  • Dealing with, and overseeing insurance claims when necessary
  • Commissioning any necessary maintenance, renovation and refurbishment work required to maintain properties to the expected standards, and monitoring any such work to ensure that it is carried out to the required standard and within the agreed budget
  • Ensuring all managed properties have valid safety reports
  • Recruiting and controlling the quality of contractors for repairs and minor maintenance
  • Responsibility for ensuring rent is paid on all managed properties
  • Managing relationship with contractors, monitoring quality of work and matching and authorising contractor invoices
  • Responsibility for check outs and timely refund of tenant deposit, dealing with any disputes that arise, ensuring that photographic evidence is on file
  • Conducting inspections of portfolio as and when required
  • Providing out of hours emergency cover on a rota system, dealing with emergency calls as appropriate

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Experience of dealing with general public in face to face customer service role
  • Experience of student life is an advantage in this role
  • Genuine interest in property or property related degree
  • Detail oriented with proven planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
  • Full clean manual driving licence is a must

This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary of £25,000, and this is a Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm role.
