Job Description

This highly regarded firm of Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors is looking to recruit a Property Manager for their busy management department based in Central London. They have a successful network of offices throughout the city and would expect this individual to liaise with 2 to 3 of their offices, managing a portfolio of 80 to 100 properties. You will ideally have a minimum of 6 months experience within a similar role, with previous London experience being a distinct advantage.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Ensuring that clients receive legally accurate, practical and timely solutions / responses to their enquiries and problems
  • Managing minor repairs, refurbishment projects and insurance claims on behalf of landlords and tenants in order to maximise the rental return on the letting, liaising with approved suppliers
  • Responsibly and profitably managing the financial aspects of the tenancy on behalf of landlords (bill payments, working funds and deposit releases) in conjunction with client accounts
  • Pursuing and collecting rental payments from the tenants on behalf of the landlord in accordance with the tenancy agreement
  • Facilitating a fair and prompt settlement of the deposit claim and preparing the property for re-letting as quickly as possible
  • Attending meetings weekly in order to assist with the letting of new managed properties, and updating the manager on the status of the existing portfolio
  • Documenting all property visits and maintaining the highest levels of professionalism when meeting landlords, tenants or suppliers
  • Keeping thorough file notes of every action and conversation
  • Confirming actions by email or letter where appropriate to landlords, tenants and suppliers, using company standard letters where applicable.
  • Handling all correspondence and telephone calls
  • Passing for payment all invoices and bank all receipts on a daily basis
  • Operating in a tidy office environment and adhering to department standards in terms of administrative practices
  • Handling complaints effectively and ensuring that they are referred correctly to the appropriate person
  • Covering work in the absence of other team members

This position will be paying a basic salary of £25 -29,000 depending on your level of experience and expertise. This is a Monday to Friday role and is based in one of their central London offices. You will also be offered ARLA training where relevant and opportunities for progression.
