Job Description

A major client of ours has acquired about 1,500 new homes for private housing in an up and coming area of East London where they will be delivering an on-site management and lettings operation.

Reporting into the Senior Property Manager, the company is looking to recruit an experienced Property Manager to work alongside them, and be responsible for a portfolio of properties as well as liaising with contractors accordingly.

Key areas of focus include:


  • Championing customer service and being the first port of call for resident queries
  • Delivering an exceptional service to ensure that the company’s standards are maintained across:
  • Their landlords’ statutory obligations
  • Inventories and schedules of condition
  • Check-in/out reports and mid-term inspections
  • Notification to utility providers
  • Management of access to keys
  • Managing works orders
  • Managing the team of contractors and general handymen
  • Logistics; scheduling move-in/outs

  • Maintaining and developing personal technical knowledge
  • Challenging the sector’s accepted norm
  • Investigating new initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

This is a role that requires proven expertise, gained from experience:

  • Demonstrable success in customer service delivery and appraisal
  • Excellent track record of performance
  • Experience of managing competing demands, with demonstrable relevant transferable skills

The salary on offer will depend on the individual, but is likely to be in the region of a £25,000 basic salary, with a bonus on top enabling the successful candidate to earn in the region of £27-28,500 OTE. The hours run on a shift basis, working either 8am-5pm, or 11am-8pm. The office is open 7 days a week, but if a Saturday and Sunday are worked, you will get the following Monday and Tuesday off; therefore it is still a 5 day working week.
