Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has become available at a leading and expanding Property Investor and Asset Management company in Central London. They are currently seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join the team in their office based in Marylebone.

These duties will include:

  • Responsible for Property Company Accounts
  • Assisting with property accounts
  • Checking the bank account daily for incoming and outgoing payments
  • Dealing with the purchase ledger
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Monthly Management reports
  • Updating the cashbook and cash flow spreadsheets on a daily basis
  • Process weekly payment run (cheques and BACS); sending invoices for authorisation
  • Ensuring invoices match the value of any purchase orders
  • Dealing with supplier and clients resolving any payment queries
  • Ensuring payments are made for any outstanding payment invoices
  • Assisting with the chasing of outstanding rent from tenants
  • Processing all commission payments

Requirements for the Assistant Accounts position:

  • Previous experience in property accounts
  • Experience in property software packages
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel, formulas and charts
  • Must have good spoken and written English skills
  • Need to be accurate and have strong numeracy skills
  • Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Previous property accountant experience
  • Good telephone manner
  • Able to act professionally at all times
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to work on your own initiative

The initial salary included for this role will be £27,000. The hours of work will be from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
