Job Description

This leading estate agency group is currently looking for a highly experienced Property Manager to manage one of their Property Management Central Departments. Overseeing a team of Property Managers who are managing a large portfolio of properties between them, you will be liaising with landlords, tenants, accounts and the management and lettings department.

To be considered for this exciting career opportunity, you will not only need to have excellent knowledge in this field, but you will also need to have strong management and leadership skills, including experience of managing teams of people, as you will be managing a team of approximately 20 people.

Your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff, ensuring that they are completing tasks in an efficient, professional, accurate and profitable manner, in line with company procedures and guidelines
  • Completing spreadsheets and office monitoring systems
  • Compiling monthly renewals and early move-out data
  • Ensuring the accuracy and use of standard letters by staff
  • Maintaining and recording procedures that ensure best practice
  • Training new staff
  • Dealing with any accelerated complaints as the first point of referral
  • Dealing with let only and rent collect end of tenancies
  • Forwarding inventories, check in and check out reports to landlords and tenants for let only and rent collect properties
  • Administering the return of deposits to tenants for let only and rent collect properties
  • Checking all incoming post to the Property Management office and distributing where necessary
  • Seeking to appoint new approved contractors when necessary
  • Ensuring contractors are adhering to our agreed Contractors’ Contracts
  • Ensuring contractors’ invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the office is kept adequately tidy and presentable and up-to-date
  • Acting as a Property Manager when necessary
  • Ensuring all company procedures are adhered to

This is an ideal career opportunity for an experienced Property Management Team Leader keen to progress his/her career in this field. The salary on offer is negotiable and will be highly dependent on the level of experience and expertise of the individual. As a guideline, the salary range is likely to be in the region of £40-50,000 though there is a degree of flexibility with this role. This is a Monday to Friday role.
