City of London
The City of London is a city and county and is a historic financial district, home to both the Stock Exchange and the Bank of England. Modern-day London is a two-centre city, with the area in between known as the West End. The actual central area of London extends slightly beyond the City and Westminster, as inner portions of the surrounding boroughs (Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark and Lambeth) also lie within Central London.
Like Central London, the City’s property market is one of the most expensive markets in the world. With price of property increasing each year, the clientele looking to buy are invariably high net worth individuals. To work in the property industry within the City of London, it is important to be able to deal with this niche clientele in order to uphold the reputation of the company you are working for.
Individuals are often drawn to the City due to the immense earning potential in both the Sales and Lettings sides of the industry. You will find hundreds of boutique, small and large independents and some corporate estate agencies across the city.
