A leading independent estate agency based in Reading are now seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join their lettings team to contribute to their future growth.

Our client has over 30 team members working across residential sales, lettings & property management, new homes, land, and business support. They are recognized as an authority in the local market place with the most experienced and long serving team of staff in the residential and lettings team. They have over 530 properties under full management and are seeking to expand all areas of their business.

Job description:

  • Competently booking and following up viewings, providing landlord feedback daily
  • Competently booking valuations, obtaining detailed background information on the landlord’s situation
  • Taking and negotiating offers for lettings
  • Maintaining and managing personal and office diaries
  • Hourly management of email in boxes
  • Conducting viewings to a set standard, following company procedures
  • Competently putting together new lets
  • Assisting in progression of lettings contracts
  • Undertaking staff training in agreement with line manager
  • Carrying out the daily activities in order to meet daily and weekly personal activity targets
  • Carrying out residential sales activity (relating to viewings, valuations etc) as required
  • Conducting all business in accordance with the company’s Core Values

Person specification:


  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of both the property development/estate agency industry
  • Knowledge of legal matters and financial guidelines relevant to the industry
  • Completed education to at least A level standard (with min 2 A level passes)


  • Negotiation and sales closing
  • Influencing and persuasion
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and administrative skills
  • UK Driving Licence holder


  • High standard of personal presentation

The initial package for this role will include a basic salary of £15,000 to £17,000 dependent on experience and on target earnings set to be in the region of £25,000 to £30,000 dependent on your performance.
