An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced estate agent to run a group of half a dozen offices in central, north and east London. The company is happy to consider someone who is running only two or three branches, but you will need to have multi-branch experience. This exciting opportunity would suit someone with strong leadership and business development skills, and the ability to recruit and motivate a team of high achievers. This group of offices is already highly successful, with a combined profitability well in excess of £1m.

The main purpose of the role will be to assist in delivering business strategies and priorities, to meet targeted revenue, profit and results across all disciplines and to work closely with the Sales Director of the company.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Day to day input and control of core business objectives as discussed with the director on a regular basis
  • Assist in generating targeted revenue and profits
  • Able to fully understand and influence the P&L position and to use that knowledge to manage performance
  • Driving daily results with the branches
  • Supporting, motivating and developing the branch teams
  • Running weekly/monthly sales-focused regional meetings
  • Running monthly negotiator training meetings
  • Responsibility for recruitment, training and retention of staff
  • To develop the strength in depth of the team through observation and feedback
  • Responsibility for delivering a performance management culture at all levels
  • Troubleshooting in branches when required adopting a hands-on approach
  • Strategising for ongoing business development which includes producing a monthly report overview of each branch
  • Implementing and driving agreed marketing plans within the branches
  • Assisting branches by generating fresh strategies to secure new business
  • Supporting the brand and working with the teams to ensure the company is maximising its exposure in the marketplace and building market share
  • Ensuring the business trades in a compliant manner at all times
  • Conducting 1:1 performance appraisals with sales teams when required

This position will be paying a basic salary in the region of £60,000 with on target earnings based on current performance being in the region of £130,000. The company will also provide a car allowance and all other benefits commensurate with a role of this seniority.
