Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity and challenge for an individual looking for a varied role in Estate Agency. This very well established and independently owned Oxford estate agency is looking to recruit an Administrator/Negotiator to join their busy office in Witney, Oxfordshire. The company is happy to consider a candidate with no previous estate agency experience. However, the successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills, an energetic approach and have a strong administrative background.

Main Purpose of the Job Role:

  • Provide administrative and Front of House support for the Lettings department
  • To maintain the company systems to required standards
  • To assist the Lettings department in reaching required targets
  • To let and re-let properties and negotiate renewals to agreed targets
  • Ensure personal compliance with all regulations, procedures and processes to the company’s required standards
  • To understand the company values and implement them positively each day
  • To sell additional services to agreed targets
  • Ensuring high quality customer care at all times

Key Tasks:

  • To actively participate in office meetings
  • Qualify and register applicants and potential landlords to the company’s required standards
  • Assisting the branch manager with the marketing of properties
  • Generate, arrange and conduct viewing when required
  • Carrying out referencing of all new tenants
  • Negotiate offers for all new tenancies and renewals (with support)
  • Ensure signed terms of business, instructions and property questionnaires are fully completed, signed and returned
  • Collate own daily, weekly and monthly figures to highlight performance
  • To answer telephone calls and greet visitors

  • Planning, time management and prioritising
  • Strong administration skills
  • Be able to use influence and negotiation
  • Must have good IT skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a team and independently
  • Must be proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Smart appearance
  • Must have a full UK driving license

This position will pay a basic salary of £18,000 dependent on experience with the opportunity of a commission scheme being introduced. The hours of work will be from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm and some Saturday hours.
