Job Description

This market-leading estate agency specialises in Lettings & Management and has a strong presence in Oxford city and the surrounding area. The company is independent, family-run, and has an excellent local reputation.

They are currently looking to recruit a Lettings Manager who will be responsible for letting their portfolio of properties in order to meet agreed sales targets and key business objectives. Based in their Summertown, Oxford office, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Being familiar with the company’s Lettings manual, and using it as a reference at all times
  • Screening and matching applicants
  • Arranging and conducting viewings
  • Negotiating terms and closing the let
  • Managing relationships with landlords and tenants, ensuring first class service delivered at all times
  • Marketing and promoting properties to let and photographs via advertising, the company website, portals and window displays
  • Capitalising on potential prospects to ensure sales targets are met
  • Nurturing and developing new business opportunities and contacts within local business community to facilitate the letting of the portfolio
  • Attending and contributing to morning meetings ensuring that they are energetic and focused
  • Assisting team members with proposed rent increases in conjunction with advice from Property Management Department
  • Checking the tenancy documentation (tenancy agreement, first account, direct debit instructions, book inventory and check-in)
  • Completing the sign and pay appointments
  • Ensuring effective linkage and communication with property management, accounts, contractors, etc.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Minimum one year’s experience in sales/lettings agency
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
  • Thorough knowledge of company services
  • Experience of dealing with general public in face to face customer service role
  • Genuine interest in property or property related degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
  • Full clean manual driving licence is a must

This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary of between £26,000 and £27,000 and a company car. This is a Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm role, with occasional Saturdays worked on a rota basis.
