Choosing an REC member is good for you whether you are a jobseeker looking for a new position or an employer looking to fill a vacancy.
Here's why:
Jobseekers:
- Choosing an REC member is your assurance that a recruitment consultancy provides a reputable, quality service, adhering to recognised standards.
- REC members are subject to disciplinary procedures because they commit to the REC Code of Good Recruitment Practice. This means that you are offered the peace of mind that comes with job seeking through an REC member.
- Information obtained through a reference must be treated as confidential. Your current employer will not hear from your recruitment agency without your permission!
- As an REC member your recruitment agency will contact you to gain your permission prior to introducing to any potential employer.
- All candidates that register with an REC member do so knowing that it is in the strictest of confidence.
Employers:
- The REC rigorously check each of their members to ensure that they comply with the Good Code of Recruitment Practice, operate ethically, professionally and to the highest standards.
- REC members commit to the REC Code of Good Recruitment Practice and are therefore subject to disciplinary procedures. This means that their clients are offered the peace of mind that comes with using an REC member.
- REC members and their staff are all briefed on themost up to the minute legislation, ensuring that they always abide by the law - no matter how recently it has been updated.
- All REC members conduct a face-to-face interview before introducing a candidate - if this has not been possible you will always be informed.
- Only current REC members are allowed to use the REC logo on their advertising and stationery - demonstrating their adherence to high standards
REC Membership means being:
- serious about standards
- serious about operating ethically
- serious about being well informed
- serious about accountability
N.B. As a member of the REC, Property Personnel can claim to adhere to the standards, codes and ethics upheld by the REC. Non-members can't!
